My First D-I-Y Project
Went to Pasar Mayestik with my mom a couple of days ago and at first, I only wanted to buy some fabrics to make one or two dresses. But when we passed through a beads and studs stall, it reminded me of Diana Rikasari's D-I-Y project (she uses lotsa studs for her projects) so I can't help to take a look around the stall.
It turned out that they didnt have the usual studs (the square one), but I found these:

And I think they would be perfect to spice up my boring VNC peep-toed mary jane that I almost throw into the garbage can since they look so shabby after all of my abuse:

I sewed them into the strap and.. Voila!
Will post the picture of me wearing it later, kei? ;)

In Quest For Flats
Shoes have always been important pieces of my "comprehensive" look. I have a strong reason for this. I'm extremely tall for an asian girl (178 cm), so everyone who's surprised with how tall I am will automatically direct their eyes to my feet to check out my heels. So it is very very important for me to wear nice shoes everyday since they're the center of people's attention.
Up till now, I always fall in love with the shoes with whimsical design. But most of whimsical shoes are high heeled! Can you imagine? Im standing 178 cm tall + 10 cm of the shoes' heels = 188 cm?!?!? Therefore, I'm getting a little bit tired of my heels (because everyone at the mall staring at me like I'm an alien, LOL) and I'm now looking for pretty and whimsical flats for those days when I don't want some extra attention from all the people at the mall.
So this is the result of my online browsing for pretty, unusual flats:
Pretty Ballerinas Flats: Rosario in Flower Garden and Dancing the Night Away
Pretty Ballerinas Flats: Marilyn in Be My Valentine and Rosario in Bunch of Flowers
The infamous Marc by Marc Jacobs Mouse Flats in Black and White
The patent leather version of MJ's Mouse Flats
And last but not least, Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Flats!

As long as my shoes are good, I feel good
I dont know why but I'm having this lazy-to-dress-up syndrome lately. I just picked anything that I encounter first in my closet. But but but eventhough my clothes are blah, my shoes have to be pretty, or else I'll feel so ugly. Just like couple of days ago, these "Dorothy from Wizard of Oz shoes" and my white tights are the only things I wore that I consider fashionable.
Flats: Wimo
Oh and I just did a photosession for my Composite Card (its like a model's portfolio) for B-Management and I'm so excited to see the result. Okay actually I've seen the result already, but I cannot wait to see it on their website (they will launch their new website on April 29 btw). I did 4 frames that day, 1 is beauty shot, 1 is full body shot, and the other 2 is fashion shots. My beauty shot is quite shocking because I look exactly like a man, LOL. And here's the sneak peek of the shoes I wore for the first fashion shot. These shoes is to die for so I cant resist to take pictures of it. If you are curious, these babies are from Deden Siswanto.

Presents From Makassar
It turned out that I wasn't able to take many pictures when I'm in Makassar because the outdoor photoshoot was very time and energy consuming (not to mention that most of the pictures I took were blurry). We did the photoshoot at several tourism sites in Makassar including Fort Rotterdam and Losari Beach. We finished the photoshoot when the sun was set. It was very beautiful.
One funny thing. I think Makassarese are very confident and bold. It showed when we did the photoshoot in crowded area, while people in Jakarta mostly would only sit and watch, these Makassarese wants to be in the frame too. It's so funny that the stylist and photographer has to shoo off some people that want to be photographed with the models including kids and grannies LOL.
On the second day, the models' task was to present a fashion show wearing batik from Allure. Both clothes we wore for the photoshoot and fashion show was somewhat casual and ready to wear kind of clothing so there isn't much to tell about the clothes (well I guess everyone in Indonesia already knows how pretty Allure batik is right?).
Since we only got 2 days in our hands, we didn't do much sight seeing around the city but we still got the chance to eat seafood there which was so yum yum. Oh and they had one of the coolest airports in Indonesia too.
